Adding a New Jurisdiction
In Equipath, each jurisdiction where an entity is registered is represented as a separate Registration record.
Steps
- Navigate to the Registrations tab.
- Click + Registration.
- Select the Entity. This will be preselected if you are already filtering by entity.
- Select the Jurisdiction from the dropdown, or select Other to type in a jurisdiction that is not on the list (e.g., a federal agency, local authority, or international jurisdiction).
- Fill in the remaining registration details: Registration Type, Entity Number, and Date Registered. Click Next.
- Fill in the Registered Agent information and click Next.
- Add filing rules for any recurring compliance requirements and click Next. See Setting Up Filing Rules for a Registration article for more details.
- Review the information you entered. Use the step indicators at the top of the form to navigate back and make any corrections, then use Next to return to the review page. When everything looks correct, click Create Registration.
Tip: After adding a jurisdiction, review the filing rules to ensure all compliance requirements are captured.
