Filing Statuses Explained
Every filing instance in Equipath has a status that reflects where it is in the compliance lifecycle.
Status Definitions
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not Started | The filing period is upcoming and no action has been taken. |
| In Progress | Work has begun but the filing has not been submitted yet. |
| Submitted | The filing has been submitted to the relevant authority. |
| Filed | The filing is complete and confirmed. |
| Overdue | The due date has passed and the filing is not yet complete. |
| Due Soon | The due date is within the next 30 days. |
Automatic Status Changes
Equipath automatically moves a filing to Overdue when its due date passes and the status is still Not Started, In Progress, or Submitted.
Manual Status Updates
You can manually update a filing's status using the Edit Filing action. This is useful when:
- The filing was completed outside Equipath.
- You need to record a historical filing.
Note: Changing a filing to Filed will trigger generation of the next period's filing instance (if applicable).
